SRK and Farah are pals again we hope

The entire country perked up when Shah Rukh and his former best friend, Farah Khan’s hubby, Shirish, came to blows. As one of only three witnesses at Farah and Shirish’s wedding, it was actually tragic to see how the relationship between Shah Rukh, Farah and Shirish had deteriorated as much as it had. When SRK refused 'Tees Maar Khan' things started getting sour and hit rock bottom at Sanjay Dutt’s party a few days ago. Well, sometimes one has to hit rock bottom to spring back up... and that’s just what happened between Farah and SRK. Sajid (Farah’s brother) took matters into his own hands and called up Gauri. Gauri said, in turn, that Farah was welcome at Mannat anytime as Mannat is Farah’s home. Touching, isn’t it? Well the making up didn’t end there. When Farah and Shirish came over with Sajid in tow, there were more tears and hugs exchanged over a three hour chat session, starting at four and ending at seven pm. Sajid Khan said of the matter, “If you are family for 20 years and some misunderstanding crops up, things need not be said, they are clearly understood.” Well, all’s well that ends well we hope! Riteish-Genelia's marriage and TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA release predetermined?

Even though Riteish Deshmukh as well as Genelia D'Souza have done quite a few films individually since they made their big screen debut with TUJHE MERI KASAM (2003), they only did one more film together- MASTI. There were countless offers that came the way of this real life 'jodi' but for reasons known to them, they politely declined them all. However they changed their tune with TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA, hence indicating that it was pretty much a package affair that was designed to announce their togetherness as a real and reel life couple.

Says a source, ''In fact it was hardly surprising when the two announced that they were tying the knot since there was nothing hidden about them being a couple. However the fact that they also decided to work together in TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA and then release it in the same month with their wedding can hardly be termed as a coincidence.''

CHECK OUT: Riteish- Genelia is a better actor than me

When contacted, Riteish had his own reasoning to share. He said, ''You know what, when the film was offered to me in April last year, the original plan was to begin it's shooting around December. Since I was free then for about 40-50 days, I suggested that we use that time and start shooting earlier. Somehow Genelia too managed her dates and all credit to the makers that they pushed themselves for the early start of the film. Thanks to their cooperation we managed to wrap it up early. Otherwise as we talk, the shooting would still have been on. Guess this film had its own destiny,'' says Riteish with a straight face.

Well, here is wishing the love birds a great future ahead and hoping that the double bill indeed pays off for Riteish and Genelia this season once TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA releases all over on 24th February.

Imran Khan with or without stubble - what suits best?

Since the film has a rustic theme, the director in a bid to conceal Imran's customary boyish image have asked him to sport a beard.

Kangna Ranaut - This honey's got money

Kangana Ranaut likes to live life kingsize. Period. At 24, the young lady has a plush flat, a luxury car, an enviable wardrobe, et al. But Kangana admits that she's not at all wise with her moolah, and spends without thinking about tomorrow. CS gets into a fiscal chat with the lady, who's gearing up for a hectic year ahead:

The young and the reckless 
Well, there are a number of positives to being young and rich (laughs). I might sound rude but I feel at some level, there's no point in being really rich after 40 or 50.

For starters, age catches up with you by then; you lose your youth and energy. So, even if you wear the most expensive of outfits or scintillating diamond jewellery, it doesn't look that great on you. You simply don't have the stamina to party hard (laughs).

Moreover, when you reach that stage of your life, you have become very wise about your money. So, you think a zillion times before spending. I can safely say that I spend without thinking about tomorrow.

Living in the lap of luxury
I am a spendthrift. Shopping and dining are two of my favourite indulgences. I do most of my shopping in Paris, which really burns a hole in my pocket. Sometimes, when I am abroad, I go clubbing all night. But I am not much of a drinking and dancing person.

My idea of a perfect evening is a seven-course meal complete with caviar, fine wine and interesting conversations. At times, I just pack my bags and head off to a random place in the world, exploring it on my own.

Frankly, I am not at all wise with money. I don't value it too much. This might be because I was born in a well-to-do family. While my parents are pretty disciplined about finances, my grandfather really spoilt us.

He lavished all his pension money on us, giving us hundred bucks to spend every day. So, I have never craved for money. Then, since I started working at 17, money was never a problem. Touch wood.

Taking note
I don't have much idea about investments, bank accounts or property dealings. My dad keeps telling me to save and save, but I don't think that it's so important to be cautious at such a young age (laughs).

But I do take my parents advice at times in some matters. You can't totally escape your parents' influence if you live together (laughs).

On a serious note, I am thankful for the sense of independence that money has given me. I can live life on my own terms, and enjoy it to the fullest.

After item number, it`s daredevil stunts for Katrina

Katrina Kaif is shooting in Havana for Kabir Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" and Hollywood action director Conrad Palmisano is making the actress do daring stunts like free-falls.

Katrina, under the protective eye of co-star and friend Salman Khan, is doing what one member of Cuban unit describes as "the real thing".

"These are stunts that any macho hero would think twice before daring. Katrina is really pushing the envelope as far as the female machismo is concerned. She is doing free-falls with Salman by her side. We hear Kareena in 'Agent Vinod' and Kangna Ranaut in 'Krrish 2' would also be attempting the hi-jinks...," said the unit member.

When asked about her daredevil act, Katrina said: "Yeah, it's scary but great fun. I've only done very feminine delicate roles so far. This is a new challenge for me. I guess that's what I'm looking for at this stage of my career."

Palmisano, who has supervised the stunts for over 200 topnotch films and television series, oversaw Sheila LeBeouf's stunts in "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon", Nicolas Cage in the forthcoming "Seeking Justice" and Jackie Chan in "Rush Hour", informed the source from on-location.

Apparently Palmisano initially suggested "something softer" for Katrina.

The actress is preparing for them every morning.

"She wakes up at the crack of dawn to get warmed up for Palmisano's stunts. Then she gets down to action. Very risky ones, I might add which many of our Bollywood heroes would insist on being done by doubles. Lekin Katrina mein ek junoon hai. She is out to prove she can do action scenes as well...," said the source.

Shah Rukh a brother? No way, says Vidya

Vidya Balan recently did a small act at the Screen Awards with Shah Rukh Khan where she addressed the superstar as 'brother'. However, she says calling SRK brother saddened her.

"I did not find that act interesting. I felt very sad that I called him my brother. The world can call Shah Rukh their brother, but I will never call him my brother," the 33-year-old said at the DVD launch here of her movie "The Dirty Picture".

After taking away all the awards for her performance in "The Dirty Picture", Vidya is currently busy promoting her next film "Kahaani".

Reema Sen to get married with a pub king

There is a buzz floating around that Kolkata born actress and model Reema Sen is soon going to be hitched.

Although the official announcement is yet to be made, it is believed that the actress is all set to tie the knot with Delhi based restaurateur Shiv Karan Singh on March 11.

The duo has been dating for the past two years and it is expected that the lavish wedding will take place in Delhi along with Mehandi and Sangeet celebrations at Singh’s farmhouse.

Reema who is busy with her preparations for the special day is likely to dress in outfights designed by acclaimed fashion designers Tarun Tahiliani and Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

While Shiv Karan is the owner of some really good restaurants including Mocha, Shroom, Smoke House Grill, Reema is a not so established actress in Bollywood. Her first Hindi flick ‘Hum Ho Gaye Aapke’ flopped on the box office.

However, she has some acclaimed performances credited to her in Tamil cinema including those in Minnale, Rendu, Thimiru and Vallavan among others.

Lisa Ray engaged

Indian-Canadian actress Lisa Ray is engaged to boyfriend Jason Dehni after he proposed to her on a recent vacation in Napa Valley. A delighted Lisa let the world know via twitter.

She tweeted, "Just returned from the glorious Napa Valley - the gourmand's and wine-lovers' paradise- with a DELICIOUS announcement. Stay tuned...

"'Delicious update': ENGAGED to the love of my life. Jason Dehni proposed in Napa. #happiestdayever (sic)," she added.

The model-turned-actress also posted a picture of herself with her fiance. Lisa, born to a Bengali father and a Polish mother, made her debut in Bollywood in 2001 with Vikram Bhatt's "Kasoor".

She is best known for her performance in Deepa Mehta's Oscar-nominated film, 'Water', The 39-year-old has successfully battled cancer after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2009. She announced she was cancer-free in 2010 after a stem cell transplant.

Prateik-Amy move in together

The lovebirds are now living-in at Amy's pad 

Prateik and Amy Jackson now have their own love nest. The actor has moved into his girl's place at Bandra. The couple, who have been pretty open about their relationship, seem to be taking it to a new level.

Says a source, "Amy has been staying near Mount Mary. Prateik has been often spotted in the vicinity. But of late he has been staying over at her place. Residents in the area have been observing Prateik's continuous presence."

Adds the source, "Though Prateik also stays elsewhere in Bandra, he has been spending more time at Amy's place. A while back her mother had been staying over but now that she has gone back to the UK, he has shifted there."

Amy's spokesperson maintains, "Residents may have spotted them together as Amy is shooting with Prateik for their movie's promotions at Bandra Bandstand. The shoot is currently on."

The actor, who is apparently dating the British model, met her on the sets of their film Ek Deewana Tha. The duo has been spotted together at events and Prateik has stated that she is special.

A winner of the Miss Teen World title in 2008, Amy's modelling assignments landed her a role in a Tamil film Madrasapattinam after which she bagged a Hindi film with Prateik.

Smita Patil's son is also taking a keen interest in helping Amy find a foothold in Bollywood. He is making sure that she learns Hindi and has been introducing her to industry folk.

Even when she has to travel out of Mumbai, Prateik makes it a point to drop and pick her up from the airport.
