Is Vidya still hung on to Shahid?:

It has been several years that Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan who came close during the canning of Aziz Mirza’s ‘Kismet Konnection’ moved to their separate ways and ended their brief relationship. But the recent reports have it that Vidya is still not over Shahid.

There is rumor circulating that the south Indian beauty has been telling TV producers, including Ekta Kapoor, not to promote her ex- flame Shahid’s upcoming film ‘Mausam’, on her telly soap, ‘Bade Achche Lagte Hai’.

A reliable source said, “Shahid and Vidya became close during the shooting of Aziz Mirza’s Kismet Konnection and shared some close moments together. But it was for a short period of time and since then both have moved on with their respective partners. Or so one thought. But from her latest move it appears that Vidya has not moved on. There have been stories of her telling her Dirty Pictures producer Ekta Kapoor not to promote Shahid’s next film Mausam on Ekta’s serial, Bade Achche Lagte Hai. Why would a star of Vidya’s caliber and repute do such a thing unless she was still in love with Shahid? One wonders if there’s trouble in her relationship with her current beau, whom Vidya has been dating for over a year. It appears as if Vidya is still holding grudges against Shahid, while the actor has moved on and only wishes her well.”

However, contrary to the buzz that surrounds, a member of Balaji has something else to say, “Ekta’s decision not to promote Mausam on her serial Bade Achche Lagte Hain was not personal or anything to do with Vidya. Ekta is a professional and was very clear right from the beginning that only her film Dirty Picture would be promoted first in Balaji’s flagship television serials. Promoting upcoming releases through TV serials has always been one of the marketing strategies of Balaji but this time Ekta wants Dirty Picture to come first (before other’s films) on Bade Achche Lagte Hain as it’s one of the top-ranking popular serials today. Vidya is a very dignified and balanced girl who is in a happy space today. She is a professional who would never interfere in someone’s work. Nor does she need to resort to such gimmicks.”

Despite several attempts, Vidya could not be approached to comment.

Salman, who is suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia, a nerve disorder that causes severe pain in the face, left for the US last night along with some family members to undergo a surgery.

“If anybody is unwell we all feel sad about it. I wish him (Salman) a speedy recovery and all the best in life. Because everyone misses him… it is very sad when you fall ill,” Shah Rukh told reporters.

Salman and Shahrukh called off their friendship after an ugly brawl at Katrina Kaif’s 2008 birthday party. They have not spoken with each other since then.

In the context of Salman leaving for the US, Shahrukh said, “I have undergone several surgeries and I think it is very important, when our bodies get injured or hurt, that they get cured soon. Hrithik visits Salman before his surgery:
Hrithik Roshan after the skirmish that he had with Salman Khan, decided to bury the hatchet and paid a visit to the ailing superstar at his Bandra residence.

The actor dropped by to wish Salman all the well and hoped for a healthy vigor post the surgery. A source revealed, “Hrithik Roshan was at a Juhu five star to launch the first promo of his upcoming film Agneepath. Right after the event, he went to Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. He wanted to meet Salman before he left the country. Hrithik wanted to wish Salman luck with his treatment in the US. The two actors spent over two hours in each other’s company.”

For those in the dark, it may be recalled that Salman and Hrithik had a bitter fight over Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2010 film ‘Guzaarish’. Salman had commented on the film, saying, “Koi Kutta bhi nahi gaya dekhne”. Hrithik, the lead actor of the film was deeply hurt by Salman’s remarks and had retorted, “It’s not heroic to laugh or make fun of a filmmaker. In my opinion, a hero never gloats. When you are super successful, it should in fact make you more gracious and loving.”

Upset with Salman’s unsavory comment, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali too had said, “If such an old and trusted friend can be so insensitive, I don’t want anything to do with the entertainment industry.”

But now it seems they have buried their past differences and are on cordial terms with each other.

Salman Khan who would be treated for an acute neurological condition (trigeminal neuralgia) left for US on Monday. The actor on his way to airport tweeted – “Chalo guys am on my way to fix the short circuit in my nerve. (sic)”

We also wish him a speedy recovery.

In fact, on K Jo’s talk show, both the actresses were caught bad mouthing and hurling insults at each other. Where, Kareena made it clear that she was not too fond of Preity, she also reciprocated with the same vibes saying Kareena only acknowledged her in Karan’s presence.

But now things have taken a turn around and all is well between both of them.

When contacted, Kareena said, “I am really flattered with Preity’s compliment. She is really sweet and very genuine as a person. She always speaks her mind so I know whatever she wrote was heartfelt.

Bomber kills 53 at Jamrud mosque

Bomber kills 53 at Jamrud mosque:
KHYBER AGENCY - At least 55 tribesmen including children were killed and more than 108 others got injured in a suicide blast during Friday prayer inside a mosque here at tehsil Jamrud.
Eyewitnesses said that some faithful were offering prayers and some were leaving Madukhel Mosque, situated in Gundai area of tehsil Jamrud, Khyber Agency, when a suicide bomber, who was stated to be in his teen age, blew himself up, killing 55 people and injuring more than 80 others. It was a severe blast as the roof of the mosque caved in. The locals said that mosque was attended by more than 400 believers at Friday prayers. “It was an ear-splitting. We fall on ground because it banged huge”. The intensity of the blast could be imagined from the fact that the mosque hall was covered with human lambs and blood,” said the locals.
They said that windows and doors of the mosque shattered and cracks developed in walls of the mosque. A number of copies of the Holy Quran were also martyred in the blast, they added. “We were offering prayers after Jumma prayer when a 15 to 16-year-old boy, dressed in black, entered the mosque hall and blew himself up,” an eyewitness Sadiq told this correspondent. One of the eyewitnesses said that he was offering prayer in the veranda of the mosque while the suicide bomber was present in fourth row among other worshippers.
Some of the deceased were identified as Kashif, Haji Gulab, Qais, Haji Jahangir, Manzoor, Lachi Gul, Amin, Ikhtiar Shah, Javed Nadeem, Gul Khan, Arbab and Khan Asghar. The locals said that rescue work started too late. It was a huge blast so it is feared that number of casualties may go up, officials in the political administration told TheNation. The death toll may rise, as hospital sources said that scores of injured were in critical condition. No one has so far claimed the responsibility of the blast but the locals said that affected tribe Madukhel had recently joined the peace jirga in Tirrah to restrict the activities of Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and in armed skirmishes three TTP volunteers were killed a few days back. Therefore it could be the revenge act on the part of the TTP, the locals blamed.

While talking to media persons, he said that war against militants would continue till their elimination. He said that in order to win war on terror, allied countries would have to end mistrust. He condemned the blast in strong words.
AFP add: Deputy chief of the semi-autonomous administration Khalid Mumtaz Kundi had said 117 people were also wounded in the attack.
“It was a suicide attack. The bomber was wearing about 8-10 kg of explosives and was on foot. He detonated in the main prayer hall,” he added.
