The actor talks about his passion for writing and producing films
Actor, scriptwriter and producer - Neil Nitin Mukesh
Neil Nitin Mukesh is in a chirpy mood nowadays. He is just finishing up the script for his pet project, ‘Paidaar’.
“I have been writing since I was a kid. But ‘Paidaar’ will be my first serious attempt at writing. It’s a romantic drama. I had been playing around with the title of the movie until I came up with, ‘Paidaar.’ It means eternal,” as told by Neil to the media.
Not only is the handsome actor the scriptwriter for the movie but he’s also its producer! Neil flashed a smile when asked to confirm the news, “Producing has always been on my mind. My father had started a company called Nitin Mukesh Pvt. Ltd. I would like to make good films for our production house…Make him proud.”
Neil also didn’t shy away from divulging other details about the movie. “I want Rohit Jugraj to direct ‘Paidaar.’ He’s done such a brilliant job in ‘Players,’" he added.
We are sure that both father; Nitin Mukesh and grandfather, legendry singer, Mukesh, are proud of Neil who trained his vocal cords for ‘Paidaar.’ “I have actually sung in the movie,” Neil admitted. If there’s one thing he’s upset about, it's that he can’t start filming for the movie yet. “It will have to wait until 2012. I have work commitments,” said the actor who is busy wrapping up his upcoming movies, the multi-starrer ‘Players’ and ‘Shortcut Romeo’ opposite Ameesha Patel.
