Fans of the ‘dhak dhak’ girl Madhuri Dixit have another reason to rejoice. Mad’s wax statue will soon be the new highlight at Madame Tussauds.

The 44-year-old actress was naturally thrilled to receive the news and said it was a huge achievement for her to be recognised globally as an artiste. Soon she took to twitter to express her delight with the words - "Madame Tussauds made the announcement and I am confirming it. Will be in London in March to introduce my likeness! Thanks for all your support."

Indeed, the induction into the hall of fame at Madame Tussauds is an honour for Mads who will join the ranks of B’wood legends such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and other famed actors such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor.
Madame Tussauds on its part said it was thrilled to honour India’s ‘dazzling dance star.’ Officials there also revealed that the decision followed soon after being inundated with requests from Madhuri fans that she be included in their prestigious collection.

Apparently, the statue is to be embellished in a sari designed by Manish Malhotra. It may cost Madame Tussauds close to 150,000 pounds and its creation will also involve a team of sculptors, hair, make-up and wardrobe experts for up to four months.
