Ekta Kapoor films bag maximum nominations at Screen Awards

After ruling the Box-office in 2011, Balaji Telefilms' head honcho Ekta Kapoor is all set to shine at the much touted and much awaited awards of the season, 18th Annual Colors Screen Awards. As the prestigious production house of the industry, Balaji Telefilms has bagged a whopping 20 nominations, highest ever for any production house, at the coveted Awards.
Films THE DIRTY PICTURE, SHOR - IN THE CITY and RAGINI MMS, all produced under Balaji Telefilms, have been nominated. While Vidya Balan starrer THE DIRTY PICTURE has picked 10 nominations, SHOR IN THE CITY which featured Tusshar Kapoor follows with 9 nominations. However, RAGINI MMS has bagged only one nomination.

Both THE DIRTY PICTURE and SHOR IN THE CITY have been nominated in the Best Film and Best Director categories. While THE DIRTY PICTURE was directed by Milan Luthria, SHOR IN THE CITY was helmed by director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.
Aamir Khan's DELHI BELLY is next in the nomination lead. It has bagged 19 nominations. Anurag Kashyap's SHAITAN, Vidya Balan-Rani Mukherjee starrer NO ONE KILLED JESSICA, Ajay Devgn's SINGHAM, Ranbir's ROCKSTAR, Shahrukh'sRA.ONE, Kangna Ranaut's TANU WEDS MANU and many others have also bagged nomination at the Screen Awards. Surprisingly neither of Salman Khan's blockbuster movies of 2011 (READY and BODYGUARD) are missing from the nomination list.
