New Vande Mataram song this Republic Day

This Republic day, Veecon music creates history with the biggest ensemble of artiste's rendering the iconic 'Vande Mataram' epitomising India's unity in diversity by bringing together as many as 21 of India's finest singers and musicians to celebrate a fresh new version of India's national song.

Ahead of India's 63th Republic Day, Veecon Music & Entertainment, the music label company of internationally diversified Veecon Group, has announced the music launch of a new rendition of ''Vande Mataram'' composed by world renowned tabla legend Bickram Ghosh.

Conceptualised by JK Srivastava, the album infuses a feeling of patriotism and national pride and features 21 eminent singers and musicians from all over India, including vocals by Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shubha Mudgal, Roop Kumar Rathod, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Indian Ocean, Palash Sen (Euphoria), Shaan, Ustad Rashid Khan, Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, Kaushiki Desikan and Manoj Tiwari, along with Amaan Ali Khan (Sarod), Kamal Sabri (Sarangi), Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Mohanveena), Niladri Kumar (Zitar), Ganesh and Kumaresh (Violins), Pandit Ronu Majumdar (Flute), Rajhesh Vaidhya (Veena), and Bickram Ghosh (Tabla, Kanjeera, Percussions). Produced and promoted by Lalit Srivastava and Veecon Group, the album's music has been composed by renowned table maestro Bickram Ghosh, and video has been directed by Girish Malik.

The project has been composed and created by percussion maestro and tabla legend Bickram Ghosh who also expressed his views on the occasion saying, ''My version of Vande Mataram is introspective and philosophical. It is the National Song woven into a new melody 64 years after Independence. It is not a song of uprising as was the mainstay of the original song since we have long been independent. I hope people find this Vande Mataram inspiring and feel proud to be Indian.''

The release ceremony was graced by the presence of Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi, Shiela Dikshit and Honourable Minister of Renewable Energy, Dr. Farooq Abdullah & Honourable Minister of Tourism, Subhod Kant Sahay, who expressed the urgent need of such important projects promoting national integration in the country.
