Salman comes to prisoners' rescue, offers money to pay their fine

Salman Khan's charitable foundation 'Being Human' has reportedly offered to pay Rs. 40 lakh on behalf of 400 prisoners who are languishing in 63 different jails in Uttar Pradesh for non-payment of fine.

These prisoners are generally those who have served more than their jail term because they cannot pay their fine due to poverty or some other reason.

The superstar, who himself had experienced life behind the bars, looks forward to free these inmates and his organisation has written to jail authorities offering their help.

In 2002, Salman was arrested for rash and negligent driving after his car ran into a Mumbai bakery.

Charges of culpable homicide were laid against him, but later dropped after he was found not guilty.

In 2006, Salman was sentenced to one year in prison for hunting a Chinkara but was granted bail after spending three days in prison.

Salman and the jail authorities are now awaiting the legal green signal and a no objection certificate (NOC) from the administration.

With action-packed movies such as ‘Race 2,’ ‘Agent Vinod’ and ‘Taalash’ coming up this year, it seems Katrina Kaif wants to be as much a part of the action as the Khans.
Kat who is currently shooting for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ opposite Salman Khan seems to be fascinated with the idea of performing her own stunts. She is being coached for the task by Hollywood’s action director Conrad Palmisano who choreographed stunts for films like ‘Transformers,’ Nicholas Cage’s upcoming ‘Seeking Justice’ and ‘21 Jump Street.’

Apparently, Kat is really pushing herself to set a benchmark in her career. The 27-year-old recently claimed that she was bored playing the damsel in distress in her movies and wanted to take on a new challenge.

A unit member said that Kat’s free-falls and midair fights with Salman shocked everyone on the sets. Incidentally, Conrad had initially planned easier stunts for Kat and death-defying sequences for Sallu. But when Kat watched her co-star perform his stunts she immediately asked Conrad to let her do whatever Salman was doing. Struck by her enthusiasm, Conrad agreed.

In fact, Kat is so serious about her role that she wakes up at dawn every morning and practises her stunts under the Cuban sun.

Good going Katrina. Now you know why filmmakers are so impressed with her!

Shah Rukh Khan in a brawl?

The internet is buzzing with stories about how Shah Rukh Khan had a scuffle with Shirish Kunder, his one-time friend Farah Khan’s husband, after an awards ceremony.

According to the stories, after the awards night, Shah Rukh attended Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Agneepath’ success party at a night club in Juhu. It was here that he ran into Shirish Kunder.

The trio has had a tricky equation especially after Shirish posted a nasty jibe about ‘Ra.One’ on twitter a few months ago. He had tweeted: ‘I just heard a 150 crore firework fizzle’. It was also said that SRK’s relationship with Farah had soured after he refused to give dates for Shirish’s ‘Tees Maar Khan.’

Apparently, at the party, SRK confronted Shirish about the tweet following which the two had a war of words which turned to blows. Insiders say that Sanjay Dutt had to intervene to prevent the situation from going out of hand. Later, Sanjay and Sameer Arya (filmmaker Goldie Behl’s brother-in-law) escorted Shah Rukh out.

When approached by the media, Farah Khan didn’t deny the incident though she didn’t confirm it entirely either.

Aamir’s new multi-crore deal

The theatrical rights for ‘Talaash’ have been sold for a whopping Rs 90 crore

Whenever you think SRK or Salman has created a record, at least as far as money-making goes, comes Aamir Khan to steal their thunder. Recently, it was reported how the theatrical rights for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Don 2’ had been sold for a huge sum of Rs 80 crore. Now we hear that Aamir’s forthcoming ‘Talaash’ starring Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor has been sold to Reliance for Rs 90 crore.

Insiders say the deal was signed recently between Excel Entertainment (the producers of ‘Talaash’) and Reliance. But what makes this deal special is that ‘Don 2’ is an established franchise and hence recovery wouldn’t be too difficult. ‘Talaash’ on the other hand, is riding solely on the shoulders of Brand Aamir.

However, knowing Mr Perfectionist’s ways and his marketing techniques, we are sure he has another blockbuster in his kitty!

Kareena Kapoor is cool about watching Saif Ali Khan doing intimate scenes with other hotties of Bollywood and says she knows how hot Saif can be bare-bodied.

The bold utterances were part of a talk show on the Zee channels to be aired soon.

The gorgeous Kareena Kapoor, the mischievous Imraan Khan and the devil’s advocate Karan Johar makes for an amazing talk show.

That much was expected. What wasn’t expected was the extent of bold fun that happened. The three stars had got together for “A date with Ek Main aur Ekk Tu’ – a show to be “simulcast” on ETC, Zee TV, Zing, Zee Café, Zee Studio, Zee Trendz and Zee Khana Khazana on Feb 4 at 7PM.

“How do you feel when you see Saif in an intimate scene with another hot actress? Say in Race 2, Saif has a bare-body scene with a Deepika in bikini, what would be your first thought?” asked Karan.

“I’d be like ‘wow! How hot Saif looks’,” said Kareena, adding, with a twinkle in her eye, “I know how he looks bare bodied!”

Probed further, Kareena revealed, “I am quite secure in my relationship with Saif and though I don’t want to say too much too soon, I am quite content!”

The mood for the show was set early on when KJo asked Imraan if he’d thought of undergoing therapy for OCD. “Never, I quite enjoy being obsessively organized,” replied Imraan without batting an eyelid.

As the chat proceeded it appeared Karan had touched a raw nerve when he told Imraan, “Kareena postponed dates for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu as she preferred doing Bodyguard first. She chose Salman over you!”

Never the one to be flustered, Imraan shot back, “If you’ve to lose, that’s someone to lose to!”

Having failed to get the better of Imraan, KJo trained his guns on Kareena.

And for all those people who were missing Karan Johar's famous rapid fire round, this session with the season’s hottest jodi, Imraan and Kareena will definitely leave u begging for more.

Their tongue in cheek replies will definitely set new standards in the industry. Rechristened the Quick Fire round, KJo asked Imraan what was the one thing he wouldn’t want to change in Kareena.

Not missing a beat, Imraan replied, “Her bum! It’s a perfect 10 on 10!” While a visibly embarrassed Kareena covered her face, Karan was left speechless!

On being asked about his views on money for sex, a straight faced Imraan shot back, “Depends on how much you are offering!”

Look who's caught in Shahrukh Shirish brawl

Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali wouldn't have thought that having a similar name as of choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan would some day prove to be a problem for her.

Ever since the news of a brawl between superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Shirish Kunder has come out, the jewellery designer is inundated with calls asking her about the incident.

"Wish the press would do their homework. Got calls in the middle of work asking me if @iamsrk slapped my hubby. Had to clarify I am the jewellery designer," she wrote on her Twitter page.

"So for all of you out here who are confused and following me because you don't read and assume I am a film director, let me say I am a jewellery designer.

"And for those asking me for my comments. I would say "No comments" as I was not present at the party when the incident happened and had left.

"In order to be judgemental about a situation one needs to be present and know all the facts. Commenting for the sake of it makes no sense. Both Gauri and Farah Khan are my friends. I will never pick sides and I am sure they will sort it out in good time. So no more on this please," she added.

Prateik kisses Amy, loses his voice

Despite many voice rehearsals, Prateik's voice has not acquired the required depth, eventually requiring it to be tweaked post-dubbing. However no such problem was seen in the film's kissing scenes

While his late mother Smita Patil might have been known for her perfect dialogue delivery and grave voice, Prateik isn't quite blessed with the same qualities.

Even though his father Raj Babbar has helped him grasp the Hindi language better and directors like Prakash Jha and Raghav Dhar tried to improve his dialogue delivery, it now emerges that the director of his latest film has had to tweak his voice post-dubbing.

According to sources, Gautham Menon, the director of Ek Deewana Tha, had to enhance the quality of Prateik's voice after dubbing. This was reportedly done to camouflage his nasal voice and lend it the feel of a baritone.

"They tried everything. Prateik went through several voice rehearsals before the final dubbing. But his voice still sounded too tinny in the dramatic and romantic scenes with Amy Jackson," he said.

According to rumours, Prateik is in a relationship with Jackson, a British actress who plays the female lead in the film.

Admitting that Prateik's voice had to be tweaked, Menon said, "We did have problems with Prateik's voice. Filmmakers don't modify and modulate their actor's dubbing after it's done. But in this case we had no choice." In the case of Jackson, who plays a Malayali Christian from Liverpool in the film, another artiste dubbed her voice.

However, sources report that no such trouble was seen in the kissing scenes that the characters share in the film. Prateik and Jackson reportedly grew closer to each other during the numerous voice rehearsals.

By the time their kissing scenes were to be filmed, the two had apparently gotten so close that that they became hesitant to go through with the scenes.

Menon said, "Both of them kept asking, 'Are you sure you want this?' It was meant to be the first kiss between the two characters, hesitant and soft. Both Prateik and Amy got it right."

Shah Rukh 'slaps' Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt's bash

Shah Rukh Khan allegedly assaulted Farah Khan's husband and filmmaker Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt's bash on Sunday.

According to reports, Shirish was drunk and followed Shah Rukh everywhere and even entered the loo with him. Irritated SRK then pinned him to a sofa and allegedly punched him.

Farah Khan confirmed the incident. "Shirish, my husband, was beaten up by Shah Rukh and his three bodyguards in Sanjay Dutt's party. Shah Rukh asked Shirish why he had tweeted

against him... There was no provocation from our side. He had screamed at Shirish telling him that he would destroy me as well," the choreographer-director told Headlines Today.

Farah Khan also SMSed reporters: "Shahrukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way 2 sort out a problem, n that its means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on, n it saddens me 2 see him doing the same (sic)."



When things got out of hand, Sanjay Dutt had to intervene to stop the brawl. But apparently he too slapped Kunder for sending lewd messages to his wife Maanyata and for misbehaving with a girl at the same party.

This isn't the first time Shirish has messed with King Khan. The Joker director had made nasty remarks about RA.One after its release. Kunder had tweeted: "I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle."

Rumours of a fallout between Farah and Shah Rukh Khan have been doing the rounds for a while now. But has this unfortunate incident put a nail in the coffin of this duo's friendship?

No FIR against SRK
"Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing a FIR or police complaint," Shirish Kunder posted on Twitter.

Shah Rukh Khan beats up Farah Khan's husband Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt's party

Mumbai: Actor Shah Rukh Khan reportedly beat up scriptwriter/director Shirish Kunder, the husband of once his close friend and director Farah Khan, at a party thrown on Sunday night in Mumbai by actor Sanjay Dutt to celebrate the success of his filmAgneepath.

After the Shah Rukh-Salman brawl at Katrina Kaif's birthday bash in 2008, Khan again finds himself involved in a public fight. The grapevine is abuzz about Khan having punched Kunder at Dutt's party at a lounge bar in the city. The bust up is said to have occurred late at night when an irked Khan allegedly roughed up his former friend's husband, who has been very vocal against the film star.

According to reports, an inebriated Kunder was following Khan around and even entered the bathroom with him. An irritated Khan then allegedly pinned him to a sofa and punched and abused him. Despite repeated attempts Khan remained unavailable for comment.

According to sources Dutt who had to intervene and separate the two, also slapped Kunder for allegedly sending lewd messages to his wife Manyata and for misbehaving with a girl at the party. Farah and Kunder spoke about the incident in a statement but denied they were going to pursue the matter with police.

Kunder took to his Twitter account to say: "Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing a FIR or police complaint."

Meanwhile Farah Khan's statement on the incident is as follows: "Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on and it saddens me to see him doing the same."

Khan had joined the party late at night after hosting the 57th Idea Filmfare Awards with Ranbir Kapoor. Once very good friends, Farah choreographed Khan in several of his films and directed him in 'Main Hoon Naa' and 'Om Shanti Om' but their friendship soured after she cast Akshay Kumar in 'Tees Maar Khan' in 2010. They tried to patch things up later but Kunder took potshots at Khan at the time of the release of his dream project RA.One.

The actor's enmity with Kunder apparently stems from the days when he refused to do his film 'Joker'. Kunder, who also once used to be close to Khan, occasionally blasts the actor on his twitter page, recently calling his sci-fi 'Ra.One' "a 150 cr firework fizzle". Two of the celebrities present at the party, however, came out in support of Khan, saying Kunder had it coming.

"Shahrukh is supr rockin.. Good he gave it 2 shirish. people shud learn 2 b grateful to king khan, aftrall he has been so supportive 2 farah. Glad@iamsrk told shirish off n put him in place. srk has done so much 4 farah. they shud b grateful n not abusing srk (sic)," Ameesha Patel tweeted.

"I was present at Sanj's party & Without Any Bias I Fully Support Shah Rukh (sic)," celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani tweeted.

IANS reported: Apparently, while guests were having a ball, at around 4:30 am, Shah Rukh entered the venue straight after the Filmfare awards with three of his bodyguards. According to eyewitnesses, he headed towards Kunder and roughed him up.

"We didn't know what was happening. We saw SRK enter. Then we saw him head towards Shirish from behind the director. SRK pulled Shirish down to the ground by his long hair. We were all shocked. We had never seen SRK behave this way before," said an eyewitness.

"Before anyone could react, Baba Dewan, the owner of Aurus, ran in and intervened. SRK told Dewan to keep out. Dewan said the place belonged to him and he must intervene. The fight would've been prolonged had Sanjay Dutt not pulled SRK away from the ugly scene," the eyewitness added. Kunder apparently left immediately.
